The type of change may be identified in two ways:
1. include the change identifier at the start of each record, OR
2. specify the change identifier on the screen in the MLE (multi-line-entry) box.

Each line within the input changes file contains data in a comma or tilde (~) delimited format.

It is assumed that the delimiter is a comma, but if it is a tilde, then you must include the following line in the MLE box:- DELIMIT in a line on its own.

If you are going to use option (2) above, then you must enter the identifier in the MLE box, preceded by a + sign, e.g.:- +ITEM-NEW

Note: after you enter the identifier, do not press the Tab key, since this inserts an extra character in the MLE box.

The delimited fields may optionally be enclosed in single or double quotes (but not a mixture!!).

In a number of change types below, the field “APN” that is included, may be coded in several formats:
- the APN number
- the ISBN number
- the Catalogue number (if in use)

Identifier	Fields Required (all must be present)
SHOP	Shop Code If this is missing, then the current shop is assumed. For some functions, we may be required to enter up to 20 shop codes (see below)
LOCN	Location Code To be used when we register stock to a Location code.
DELIMIT	No parameters follow. If present, assume that the delimiter is a tilde character.
TITLE	APN, Title-Line-1, Title-Line-2
SERIES	APN, New series title
PRODUCT	APN, Product Group, Product Category, Product Type
CORPORATE	APN, Corporate Author
SUPP	APN, Primary Supplier
ALTSUPP	APN, Alternate Supplier
MSL	APN, Minimum, Maximum, Re-order Quantity, Lead Time
PRICE	APN, RRP, Last Buy Price, Average Cost Price Note: If any price is missing, then that price is not zeroed on file. You must enter a ZERO in order to zero any particular price. If any price is changed, then today’s data is retained as the ‘price change date’ for that price.
